Compared with traditional analog power ICs, dedicated digital control ICs deliver disruptive advantages. They eliminate the pain points of analog solutions, such as parameter calibration relying on resistors and capacitors, cumbersome debugging and rigid design schemes. Key parameters can be digitally configured, allowing flexible tuning of loop compensation, operating topologies, various protection thresholds and light-load energy-saving strategies. Furthermore, the chips feature powerful dynamic adaptability.
